PhyLogic to take part in the MS Challenge Walk

MS Challenge Walk

On April 5, 2003, PhyLogic Employees will participate in the MS Challenge Walk to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The walk will take place in Northampton, Massachusetts, about 25 minutes north of PhyLogic's Feeding Hills offices.

Every step of the MS Challenge Walk brings us closer to a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Every hour of every day another person in the United States is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. MS affects a third of a million people nationwide, and 10,000 individuals and their families in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, the area served by the Central New England Chapter of the National MS Society.

Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs or severe paralysis or loss of vision. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40, but the unpredictable physical and emotional effects can be life long. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are giving hope to those affected by the disease.

PhyLogic has a history of both contributions, as well as active participation with various charities. Future charitable events that we will participate in this spring include our sponsorship of the American Lung Association's Golf Tournament, as well as participation with the Miracle Ride for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Information on these events will be upcoming on the PhyLogic.com news section in the near future.

PhyLogic would greatly appreciate any contributions or participation from you on behalf of this wonderful charity. If you would like to sponsor our walkers or participate, please contact PhyLogic Provider Representative Sara Nied at 877-273-3100 extension 106, or email her at SaraN@phylogic.com
