PhyLogic Announces New Electronic Prescription Functionality
PhyLogic Healthcare announced today that we are now offering electronic prescriptions (ePrescribing) through our partnership with AdvancedMD™.
The AdvancedMD ePrescribe module allows physicians to create prescriptions for patients in any setting of care. It can be used across the ambulatory, emergency department, and inpatient care settings.
Participating PhyLogic clients will be able to access the module through a new icon on their PhyLogic AdvancedMD system.
With AdvancedMD ePrescription software you can transmit electronic prescriptions and authorize refills from the office, hospital or home, in seconds, using any Web device such as a laptop or PDA. Electronic prescriptions are securely transmitted to any U.S. pharmacy, automatically screened for drug interactions, and reviewed for formulary compliance prior to submission.
The system reduces doctor to pharmacy communications, increases patient safety and convenience, simplifies renewals, and improves efficiency. Furthermore, physicians may qualify for the associated Medicare electronic prescription rebates.
Please note that there is a fee associated with this new feature. However, PhyLogic will provide this module to clients at no markup.
