PhyLogic is in the process of expanding our phone system in order to better streamline inbound patient and customer calls.
The system is being expanded in a way which approximately doubles the amount of telephone lines and extensions available. While busy lines were not a major issue in the past, PhyLogic wanted to ensure that the efficiency of call routing was increased.
The most noticeable difference to clients will be the restructuring of toll-free telephone numbers for patient billing inquiries. With many more toll-free numbers added, the new system will begin routing inbound patient calls directly to the practice’s specific billing team members at PhyLogic.
All of this does mean some minor changes for our clients. Certain clients will receive new toll-free numbers to provide to patients. Of course, any previous numbers will still be answered, but the use of the new patient lines will make things more streamlined. The new numbers will also print directly on patient statements and pre-collection letters.
Clients being assigned new toll-free patient numbers will be provided with new “monitor stickers” outlining both our toll-free client (customer service) number and the toll-free line for patient and insurance billing inquiries. These stickers can be placed on computer monitors or near the front desk for ease of reference.
During this upgrade, PhyLogic is also adding more fax lines and more copper-wire lines to ensure operational redundancy in the event that T-1 lines are compromised. Internet bandwidth was more than doubled to accommodate current and future expansion.
