As you may be aware, the Part B Connecticut workload will be transitioned from First Coast Services Options to the new National Government Services J13 A/B MAC. National Government Services has advised us that in order to transition these workloads successfully it is necessary to impose system “dark days”. On these “dark days” the Medicare online systems will not be available. System “dark days” impact the availability of claims processing and payments. The current dark days scheduled are 8/1, 8/2,8/3, and possibly 8/4/08.
Here at PhyLogic, we have already been working to ensure a smooth transition. Our Technical Operations department has been in contact with AdvancedMD and has been working with them in regards to electronic claim submission. We will be updating the system with the new claims address for National Government Services. Your Billing Team Supervisors and Managers have attended trainings provided by National Government Services and are filtering this information down to the staff level.
If you currently receive Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), you are required to submit an updated CMS-588 form. This form was mailed directly to the all providers by National Government Services. Your Billing Team Supervisor also forwarded this form to your office. Please be advised that National Government Services has stated that Providers who fail to submit and EFT agreement update may experience possible payment delays and/or disruption in electronic claim payments. If you currently do not receive Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) you are not required to submit CMS-588 at this time.
Please see below a snapshot of changes as provided to us by National Government Services.
