PhyLogic Helps Elderly in “Spare” Time

Waterbury, CT – A team of over 25 PhyLogic employees and family members recently joined together to participate in the 4th Annual “Frames for our Friends” Bowl-a-thon to benefit the Home-to-Home Foundation. The fundraiser, held in Waterbury, Connecticut, raised thousands of dollars to aid those in long-term care facilities in the region.

PhyLogic sponsors a charity-focused bicycling team (Team PhyLogic) and is also active in a number of other charitable events such as golf tournaments, walking benefit events and races. With the New England weather turning colder, PhyLogic’s crew was more than happy to head indoors and have some fun for a great cause.

The Home-to-Home Foundation is a non-profit organization established to enhance the quality of life for residents in long-term care facilities by providing increased human contact and social activities through volunteer programs.

Richard Silverman, MD, the Founder and President of the Home-to-Home Foundation commented, “PhyLogic Healthcare has been a great friend of the Home-to-Home Foundation over the past years and we greatly appreciate their support.” Dr. Silverman added, “I was moved to see such a large group from one company join together to help our cause”.

While we would love to report the team scores, it may be difficult as the teams were having too much fun to actually keep a proper tally!

PhyLogic is looking forward to continuing its support for the Home-to-Home Foundation in 2008 while participating in the annual golf tournament.
