Important change for Therapeutic IM Injection Code 90772
For 2009, the CPT code 90772 for Therapeutic IM Injection has been eliminated. The new code is 96372.
Furthermore, all Therapeutic, Prophylactic and Diagnostic Injections and Infusions codes have been revamped with a new set of codes. The current code range was 90760-90779 – the new codes are 96360-96379.
There are numerous additional changes being made to the CPT coding structure for the upcoming year. PhyLogic will be highlighting many of these changes in the client updates section of our website over the next few weeks. Medical practices are strongly encouraged to order the latest version of the CPT coding books for a complete reference.
Please note that PhyLogic will be updating provider superbills and chargeslips effective January 2009 with the latest relevant codes for your practice.
