PhyLogic Announces Expansion
If you have been to PhyLogic’s Springfield, MA, headquarters lately, you are sure to have
noticed that our company is growing and that space is a little on the tight side. Every
office, desk and cubicle is filled. Offices serve as conference areas, and our beautiful
views overlooking Springfield and the Berkshires are cluttered by outlines and diagrams
written on windows that are serving double duty as whiteboards!
To alleviate these headaches and to prepare for future growth, PhyLogic recently finalized plans for
the expansion of our office space. Construction is scheduled to begin this week.
The project, which is scheduled to be completed on February 1, 2006, is an extension of PhyLogic’s existing
office space. Approximately 7000 square feet of space is being added to our current
offices on the 14th floor. Once near completion, it will be joined to the existing space
through the demolition of an existing 30’ wall, opening up the main billing floor to a more
spacious and more functional layout.
Highlights of the new construction are:
- A new reception area featuring a 14’ glass entry located directly adjacent to the 6 elevators serving our area.
- A new client conference room with expanded multi-media capabilities
- A second kitchen and break room
- New offices (for the Manager of Technical Operations as well as ones reserved for future use)
- Open space for a total of 41 new work areas for reimbursement specialists, team leaders and supervisors. (20 to be constructed in the first phase)
- A new data management and scanning room.
- A new client and employee training area.
The construction firm of Adams & Ruxton has been selected for the build out. Adams & Ruxton
had previously worked with PhyLogic in the development and construction of our current offices in the
spring of last year. Office systems and furniture is being provided by two firms, Lexington Group of
Springfield, MA, and Transfer Enterprises of Manchester, CT. Additional data lines/wiring and phone
system expansion is being handled by Garvey Group Teledata of East Longmeadow, MA.
Of course, once the new space is completed, PhyLogic will want our clients and friends to
visit. Therefore, we will be holding an open house shortly after completion. Invitations will be sent
as soon as a date has been set.
All members of the PhyLogic family wish to send our sincerest thanks to our clients. Nothing would be
possible without you!
